Semester 2, Week 6 (Part 1): Organic & Straight Lines

 Before the course began I favoured minimalist & contemporary design, often being drawn towards those with straight lines. This was probably due to the clarity and logic of the image (my background is science after all). Recently after developing my critical eye I have found organic shapes to be increasingly appealing and I’m using them more in my work. I am working as a landscaper during the week and just built this garden. The path bends through strong, straight structures but the curvature is my favourite part of this design. I feel it is best expressed surrounded by these straight lines that almost frame the deviation and celebrate it.
