Semester 2, Week 3 (Part 2): Concept Sketch

I investigated a number of different patterns and used the desire lines, access routes, sun direction and vistas out of the site to inform some of the lines & shapes I drew. I produced quite a minimal sketch that I returned to as I didn’t think it was interesting enough. I added in some organic shapes and arrived at the idea of representing a stone falling in water, casting ripples outwards throughout the space. This influenced not only my sketched design but also the biophilic context of the site - one that I will now choose to place constructed wetland in as both a green injection but also a method of treating waste produced from the on site public toilets.
